Meet the team
We work a lot and dream even bigger! :)
Ankur Gupta
We call him the Boss, he so hates it, but that’s why we do. He truly is the backbone of Halabol who incepted the idea of introducing an online platform where all socially driven can meet and act. He is gifted with an amazing ability to motivate all putting Halabol on an upward progress since its inception. Ankur is a workaholic – drinks, eats, sleeps work! And this work through the years includes holding lead architect and management positions for various organizations across verticals. He is active in the Open Source community and well respected in the development community as well. On paper, he holds an MBA, a Masters Degree in Computer Science and a Certificate in Economics.
Shilpi Gupta
Shilpi plays multiple roles at Halabol from leading its content strategy to disciplines including editorial focus, content acquisition, and overall site integration. Her conviction in the advantages that can be derived from Halabol’s existence and her vision of the platform benefitting the society is inspirational. Her passion for bringing a change in the numerous issues prevailing in our nation is a source of direction for the new Halabolers. In her personal life, Shilpi is an animal lover, a Buddhist practioner and believes that everyone can make a difference. She holds an MSc in Computing and a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications.
Isha Gupta
Isha loves to talk and write. And that’s how her work at Halabol can be defined. She is actively involved in devising and executing strategic initiatives for the platform. In future, she wishes to speak on behalf of Halabol urging people, NGOs and organizations to join. Isha is passionate about various campaigns that can be undertaken under the Halabol banner to unite the needy and the interested under relevant issues. She also wishes to fulfill her passion for writing through Halabol’s blogging section. She has previously managed various business projects for a KPO across industries and has vast experience in handling clients and teams. Isha holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and an MBA in Finance.
Suchi Garg
Educational qualifications make Suchi a "Manager" in Finance and Marketing, but her 14+ years of experience has mostly been in the world of IT. She started off with PHP in the year 2000 when OOPS was something people said when they made a mistake and not necessarily in "computer" terms. She has a passion for development, and just can not keep her hands off of the code - even when needed.
Makepeace Sitlhou
Twenty four year old Makepeace comes home to a tom cat that scratches her more often than it purrs. Ironically, she's much more of a dog person and treats cats and kids with the same politics and affection. Although she was set out to help people on the couch while studying Psychology in college, she ultimately got seduced by her love for writing and feministing. One day, she hopes to write an autobiographical graphic novel, much like Marjane Satrapi's (only her role model!), Persepolis.
Lovejeet Alexander
A New Delhi based journalist, professional photographer, former talk-show coordinator and guest faculty at several media institutes. Alex has spent 10 years working for Hindustan Times, The Times of India, i-next and Sahara Samay news channel. His itchy feet drag Alex from one uncharted locale to another within and beyond India’s boundaries. Current affairs, people, social and cultural trends, anything about India get his fingers tapping on the keyboard followed by his great shooting at sight skills, with a camera - of course. Alex is a regular columnist for several Indian and international publications. His work – both written and clicked – has appeared in the magazines of USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.
Aliya Khan(Khan from the epiglottis - hahaha).
A girl with distinct vision and the glaze of bright vision in her eyes comes from a modest town of srinagar in J&K, kick starting her career at a young age of 19 with a bachelors degree in computer sciences and persuing master's in the same currently says " The Best is yet to Come ". She also believes knowledge enhances by sharing, and carries a positive smile on her face all the time.
Nitin Mudgal
He is probably the most laziest person in team as it took him two days to write this much. He still thinks that there are better things to do than Engg in this world. He owns his fantasies, his dreams, his hopes, his fears, his triumphs and successes. He sees things & makes them sometime. He used to be a pro-gamer & game developer but Drupal was kind enough to attract his attention towards spelling mistake that named it, And really thinks you got nothing else to do as you got this far reading it :-D
Ramandeep Kaur
Drupal Developer is what her job profile says and she just loves doing her job. Educationally qualified as a Masters in Maths, her luck landed her into IT. She loves to study, be it higher education or novels as she feels that relaxes her. She is a real dreamer to the extent that she will start laughing in the office for no reason even while working, keeping the others guessing what she is upto!!!
Abhinav Sahai
Engineer by qualification, marketer by choice! He spends his time blogging, tweeting and updating status messages and then justifies it by saying that's his "job"! Give him a task, he will shamelessly ask 'Deadline kab hai?' Like a true engineer, he never finishes any task until the sword starts hanging on his neck :)
Tarini Manchanda
A Shelby Davis Scholar from Colby College USA, Tarini is a film maker/video journalist by passion and profession. She has made several documentary films on people’s issues, development, and the environment. Her passion for truth telling has made her an integral part of Halabol.

Akshit Nanda
Akshit is the youngest techie at Halabol. An engineer-in-the-making (that's what they say now), he is a fun-loving guy, with a keen sense of humor. Football is his first crush, and he is a devoted Red Devils fan (for newbies, that means Manchester United, GGMU). He is a foodie by instinct and a party-animal by choice. Follow his trail on Twitter - @akshitnanda.
